If you have just been offered a new job, congratulations are in order. Interview processes and tough and you’ve done well to get so far. However, you do need to consider very seriously whether or not to accept the new role you have been offered. In the excitement of being offer the position, you may not necessarily have had time to think everything over as carefully as you need to.
Make sure the money is right. Everyone knows how much they need to earn, so if it is not enough, go with your head and not your heart. Don’t accept a lower wage than you are worth.
Check the benefits package as well. There may be good bonuses like private health care or a company car. This could make up for a slightly lower wage than expected, depending on your priorities. Ask about pension contributions and what the company will contribute.
When you finish university or college, the next step is to find yourself your first real job. This is a major transitional phase for your career, as you will be going from studying full time and maybe having a part-time job to earn some spending money, to working in a full-time role that is probably around 37-40 hours a week.

Many people say that you do not have to be happy in a job and that you have to go regardless as whether you enjoy it or not, but job satisfaction can be extremely important.
If you are in a current job role, where you do not enjoy most of your day, a lot of the time then I would definitely say it’s time for a change. This may mean a change of job or simply a change of your working.
Firstly you need to find out what is making you unhappy. Is it the working hours, travelling to work or the people you work with? Once you know this you can then start to consider how and if you can improve your situation.
It may be that you need to arrange a sit down with your lime manager to discuss your concerns and issues, but ideally do not just go to them with problems, but offer reasonable solutions too.
If you have been in the same type of job role for a number of years, there may come a time when you fancy a change or that a change is essential. It can be hard to know what sort of jobs to look for if you have little or no experience in any other field other than the one you currently work in.

Many of us do not really enjoy our work. We spend a large percentage of our life at work, so finding a job that you really enjoy is not only a bonus, but I believe essential. It may be that you have to take a job that you do not have an interest in as you need work quickly or whilst you are training for another career.
Job satisfaction can be obtained in several ways. It may be that you get satisfaction out of fixing or repairing something or that you enjoy talking to customers and helping them make a choice about a product they need. If you do not currently enjoy your job, make a list of reasons why. If the list contains many elements that you cannot change then it may be time for a new career or at least a different employer.
